Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Ontario, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Ontario is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Ontario is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This is one of our go-to Korean tofu places, and the food here is always excellent. It always hits the spot! The portions are really nice, and the meals come with about five of the usual Korean side dishes. Everything is always delicious. The service is also fast, and every waitress we've had has been super friendly. On weekends, there can definitely be a wait because the restaurant is pretty small. I believe they can only seat around 44 people. The longest we've waited was about an hour, but usually they move people through pretty quickly. The atmosphere is clean and simple. Nothing fancy when it comes to the decorations, but the restaurant is comfortable and, most importantly, clean. One thing I've noticed over our last few visits is that the prices have definitely gone up. The Korean short ribs with tofu are now over $30, and most of the other main dishes are somewhere in the upper $20 range. It's getting pretty pricey. On our most recent visit, it was just our family of three. We ordered a bibimbap with tofu, a Korean seafood pancake, and a glass noodle dish. Just three dishes, and we didn't even order any of the more expensive meat dishes. With tax and tip, our total came

Went in around 11:32 AM and the place was already 75% full. Anyone coming in after 11:35 had to wait, and there were only two people serving the entire restaurant. Ordering is done through a digital tablet, which was actually pretty convenient, but the food still took about 30 minutes to come out. The banchan felt more catered toward American tastes than traditional Korean flavors. The kimchi and cucumber especially were sweeter than it should be. I ordered the extra spicy soon dubu, but honestly think it's more like medium spicy compared to most Korean spots in Ktown or Rowland Heights. Look at the image of the soup in my review, you'll be able to tell. However, the bigger issue for me was the broth itself. It tasted diluted and lacked the umami depth you expect from a good soon dubu. The color was there, but the body and richness weren’t. The galbi was decent and probably the highlight of the meal. Flavor was good overall, though slightly on the sweeter side. What surprised me was that it came out on a hot plate that wasn’t even sizzling, which kind of takes away from the experience. Overall, I’d say they’re slightly better than BCD in ktown, but definitely not the best soon

I was very excited to find out that this wonderful place was only 6 minutes away from KP Ontario. The place is small but bright and clean. Service was friendly and quick. The food speaks for itself. I always judge a sundobu restaurant from the taste of their kimchi. I liked theirs. Not too mild, not too fermented either. It went perfectly with my bibimbap and combo tofu. I loved their combo sundobu as it had gopchang, something I've missed at other sundobu places in the IE. All in all, I think this place is temptingly worth gate-keeping. But i won't because my IE peeps need to know about this gem abd support it so they'd be around forever!

5/5 Stars | Hidden Gem in K-Town! Don’t be fooled by the name—Tofu Chon is so much more than just a tofu house. This new spot in LA K-Town serves full-on, delicious Korean food with a huge menu, and I haven’t had a single bad dish yet. Highly recommend the bibimbap—fresh veggies, ground meat, a runny egg, and purple rice mixed with spicy sauce and sesame oil. It’s light, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. The seafood pancake is crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with big, fresh squid. The tofu soup has a rich, savory broth and silky tofu. We also got the cheese ribs (galbi jjim)—similar to Soongdong but lighter and less heavy. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, smothered in melty cheese, and so satisfying. Side dishes are great, portions are generous, and the price is super reasonable (around $30+ per person). If you arrive around 5 PM, you might even get free parking! Easily one of my new favorite Korean restaurants in K-Town. Will definitely be coming back.

There are so many soondubu spots in LA, but this one really stood out for its broth. The soup was rich and slightly thick, not light at all, and satisfying from the very first spoonful. The tofu was soft and paired perfectly with the broth, and the flavor stayed consistent until the end. The seafood pancake we ordered on the side was also better than expected. Crispy on the outside, generously filled on the inside, and not greasy at all it went really well with the soondubu. We also ordered the marinated crab separately, and it was a great choice. Well balanced seasoning, not too salty or fishy, and definitely one of those dishes that makes you want more rice. Totally worth ordering as a side. The banchan that came with the meal were all solid, and you could tell they were thoughtfully prepared. On top of that, the service was friendly, and since it’s a newly opened spot, the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Overall, this is a place I’d recommend to anyone who enjoys deep, rich soondubu and likes to order sides to go with it. It’s definitely a flavor that stays with you I’d come back again.
